Skills

Advanced Excel is my strongest skill: planning models, inventory projections, scenario analysis, dashboards and exception reporting. I use VBA to automate repetitive work and make tools easier to use.

My day-to-day work combines data analysis with inventory management, forecasting, process improvement and documentation. I also work directly with IT on PeopleSoft requirements and testing.

I have practical experience with Python and Tableau, and introductory experience with SQL, Power Query and Power BI. I use AI to help troubleshoot, explore approaches and learn new skills, while checking the results against my own technical and business knowledge.

Selected Projects

Purchasing Planning — Excel

2,000+ active items, 15 suppliers, and daily review instead of a month-long cycle.

I brought PeopleSoft reports and supplier files into one workbook, then developed inventory projections, purchase-order scenarios and visual flags to show what needed attention. The process improved from monthly to weekly to daily review as I refined the tool. I now work with IT to move the planning logic into PeopleSoft, defining requirements and checking the calculations against the Excel version.

Material Releases — Excel & VBA

Approximately two working days of weekly work reduced to one hour.

I worked with suppliers to standardize their stock reports and built a tool that shows materials only when we need them and the supplier has stock available to release. It prioritizes shortages and, after review, creates supplier request files, email attachments and a sortable internal report. That replaced printed lists, handwritten requests and repeated data entry.

Production Order Closure — Process Improvement & VBA

Approximately 98% of production orders closed automatically after a system-rule correction.

I found that a legacy percentage-based material allowance did not match the actual policy allowing four extra units per order. I worked with the Controller, Database Administrator and upper management to get the rule corrected, eliminating the need for an eight-hour daily manual closure assignment. I also built VBA reporting to explain the genuine exceptions before someone had to investigate each record.

Order Tracking — Excel

A management report used for more than eight years, refreshed in approximately five minutes each morning.

I created a consolidated view of overdue and upcoming orders, with production progress, material shortages, stalled orders and follow-up notes. It gave management a clearer way to see what needed attention. Another employee now runs and distributes it each morning.

Out-of-Stock Reporting — Excel

Approximately four hours reduced to 30 minutes.

I replaced searches through hundreds of printed scheduling pages with a report compiled from PeopleSoft shortage notes and related part, order and customer data. I first reduced the process to about an hour, then refined it to about 30 minutes after taking it over in purchasing, including the review of expected material arrivals.
